So this past week at work, a couple of us came across a video that peaked my interest very much. It’s a 5 minute video but you will quickly get the idea of it.
As we sat there watching these exercises, my assistant, Sandie, asked me, “How many do you think you can do?”
Me being pretty confident in myself told her, “Easily half of it.”
Then the challenge came. “Let’s see if you can get all 44 exercises down by the end of February.”
I saw this as a great challenge for me. What do I get if I can get all 44 exercises down?
An awesome feeling that I can do some crazy exercises, and who knows maybe I’ll top off Tee Major Fitness with 45 Best Body Weight Exercises.
The other great thing about this challenge is by the end of this month I’ll will have to be leaner, stronger, and learn how to control my body in order to accomplish all 44 exercises.
What’s Your Fitness Goal?
I don’t know if I’ll be able to do all 44 exercises within a month, but I’m going to give it everything I got. Let’s say at the end of the month I’m not able to do all of them, so what? There is no penalty, I’m not going to get hurt (well, in my case I have to learn how to do a back flip burpee), and no one is going to look at me as a failure – if someone does, ask them, “What have you done lately.” I’m sure they haven’t done much.
When you have fitness goals, the only thing you are competing against is yourself. If you don’t reach your goal at the end of the deadline, it’s okay. The main thing that matters most is if you know you gave it your all.
It takes persistence and confidence to continue pushing forward. Don’t worry about the person next to you in the gym, or the person running past you during your jog. Your main focus must be on yourself and what are you doing to achieve your goals.
I’d love to hear what sort of strength or fitness goals you have on your plate. Please, share them in the comments below. I’ll be more than happy to help you out if you have any questions.
